Camelot Chronicle — Mission Statement & Ethos

About the Chronicle

"— Independent High-Fantasy News & Realm Reporting —"

Camelot Public Record

We operate under a strict code of ethics: our reporting is 100% hand-crafted by actual living scribes. Under the sacred Oath of Dwarven Ink, no clockwork automatons or artificial runic text generators are permitted in our newsroom.

Our Editorial Creed

"To report the truth of the classic realms, to respect the reader's finite hours, and to keep the parchment clean of distracting spellcraft."

The Scribes & Editorial Council

Our newsroom is staffed by a dedicated guild of chroniclers and scholars. Click below to inspect our reporters' credentials:

Join the Press — Seeking New Writers

Quills Open

Are you a chronicler, theorycrafter, or realm journalist wanting to document news and the ongoing journey of World of Warcraft Classic Plus? The Camelot Chronicle is looking for talented writers to join our editorial press.

However, entry into our editorial press is earned, not granted. To join our council as a writer, you must first prove your worth by completing the trials on the Back Page. Once you solve the crossword, sudoku, and the 1-bit knight's adventure, a secret writer application code will be revealed. Email your application along with that code to contact@camelotchronicle.com.

Contributor Compensation:

We compensate our writing contributors in real human currency ($) for approved articles. To uphold our sacred Oath of Dwarven Ink, we remain 100% human-crafted and strictly AI-free.

Realm Classifieds & Notice Board

Under Construction

To keep the Camelot Chronicle 100% ad-free and independent beyond voluntary reader donations, our scribes are preparing a authentic in-universe Realm Notice Board. Guild leaders, master artisans, and realm adventurers will soon be able to post text bulletins for guild recruitment, crafting services, raid LFG, and rare item trade.

No third-party ads. Pure parchment notices.Arriving Next Moon →

Classic Plus Resource & Guide Strategy

There are already dozens of comprehensive databases and guides for standard 2004 Classic WoW across the web. Rather than duplicating existing baseline guides, the Camelot Chronicle focuses our registries and guide resources specifically on content that has changed, modified mechanics, rebalanced recipes, and brand-new Classic Plus additions. Once World of Warcraft Classic Plus officially releases, our scribes will publish dedicated, detailed guides focusing specifically on all new changes, rebalances, and realm updates.

External References & Database Citation Policy

To provide immediate utility to our readers when documenting patch notes, boss encounters, item drops, or crafting paths, the Camelot Chronicle occasionally cites external game databases to fill gaps for subjects where we do not yet host our own dedicated internal guide.

To ensure reader security, privacy, and editorial integrity, our journalists link exclusively to a strict list of vetted and trusted community reference databases: Wowhead, Icy Veins, and WoW-Professions. All external links open in a separate window and are designated with non-tracking reference tags (`rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"`). The Camelot Chronicle is an independent entity and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or responsible for external third-party website content.

Legal Standpoint & Fair Use

The Camelot Chronicle is an independent journalistic organization. All references to specific game patch notes, characters, items, and settings are made under nominative fair use. We are not associated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the official game publishers.
